Nikki Garcia, formerly known as Nikki Bella, has returned to her hometown to reconnect with her family and childhood memories after her recent divorce from Artem Chigvintsev.
Nikki Garcia, the former WWE wrestler and television personality, has shared glimpses into her life following her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev in November. On Instagram, she posted a series of photos from her visit to Brawley, California, where she grew up with her twin sister, Brie Garcia.
In one photo, Garcia posed in front of the Brawley city limit sign, while in another, she was seen with her relatives wearing matching Christmas sweatshirts. She also visited several childhood haunts, including the Cattle Call Arena, Johnny’s Burritos and the Sacred Heart Catholic School.
“It’s been five years since I’ve been back,” Garcia captioned one of the posts. “Truly needed to be back surrounded by incredible childhood memories, family traditions and my B Town fam. There’s nothing like Drummer Boy weekend.”
Garcia’s return to her hometown comes after a tumultuous few months. In August, Chigvintsev was arrested for domestic violence in Napa Valley, California. The two filed for divorce shortly after, and both obtained restraining orders against each other. In November, they settled their divorce and dropped their restraining orders.
Garcia has been open about her struggles with the divorce. “I’ve been heartbroken,” she said on her podcast, “The Nikki & Brie Show.” “You dream of having this family and you have this incredible love, and it just goes the other way.”
Despite the challenges, Garcia says she is focused on her son, Matteo, and her own well-being. “All I need to do is focus on my healing,” she said. “I need to focus on Matteo’s healing.”
