Britney Spears reveals why she moved to Mexico?

Britney Spears finds solace in Mexico after paparazzi scrutiny becomes too much to handle

This week, Britney Spears revealed to her followers that she relocated to Mexico to avoid the “cruel” scrutiny of paparazzi.

“It really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing like a white Jason mask, and it doesn’t even look like me,” Spears said.

“They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi and pictures and the way they’ve illustrated me to be in some of it. I know I’m not perfect at all, by any means, but some of it is extremely mean and cruel, and that’s why I’ve moved to Mexico.”

Spears, who turned 43 on Monday, posted the video in a birthday message on Tuesday. She joked in a another video that she was “turning five” and that she had to “go to Kindergarten tomorrow.”

According to TMZ, Spears’ divorce with Sam Asghari was finalised on Monday.

Earlier in August, the rights to the singer’s 2023 best-selling memoir, The Woman in Me, were acquired by Universal. Marc Platt will serve as producer and Jon M. Chu, director of Wicked, will serve as project manager.

The singer celebrated the news on social media, writing that she was “excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt,” and that Platt has “always made my favorite movies … stay tuned.”

Since its October 24, 2023, publication by Gallery Books, The Woman in Me has sold 2.5 million copies in the United States.

Michelle Williams read the audiobook, which became the best-selling audiobook on Spotify in 2023 and the fastest-selling audiobook in Simon & Schuster’s history.
