Meghan Markle releases message after Prince Harry address rumours about UK return
Meghan Markle released a heartfelt statement as she showed her support for a UK-based charity after Prince Harry made honest confession about returning to his home country.
The Duchess of Sussex welcomed attendees of the Smart Works inaugural by praising the charity’s work in empowering women across the UK.
Meghan wrote in the event program handed to guests on arrival, “Tonight promises to be a truly magical celebration, filled with special guests and performers, and most importantly, the shared spirit of community that defines Smart Works.”
“Together we gather to honour the work and dedication of this remarkable organisation, which continues to empower women across the UK through coaching, dressing and instilling confidence on their journey to employment,” she added.
This comes after Harry, the Duke of Sussex, revealed if he would ever return to the UK with his wife and kids at The New York Times DealBook Summit.
“I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” Harry said of his life in America. “It’s a part of my life that I never thought that I was gonna live.”
“I feel as though it’s the life that my mom wanted for me,” Harry added. “To be able to do the things I’m able to do with my kids that I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the U.K. — it’s huge.”
