The iconic reality stars from ‘The Simple Life’ reunite for a three-part special to produce an opera based on their song ‘Sanasa’, while revisiting their past and showcasing their enduring friendship.
For the first time in over two decades, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are reuniting on camera in the Peacock special, “Paris & Nicole: The Encore”. The series, set to release on December 12, will follow the dynamic duo as they embark on an operatic adventure.
After their breakout on “The Simple Life” in 2003, where they navigated rural towns and challenged social norms, Paris and Nicole have become 43-year-old mothers and wives. The show’s first trailer sees that they set out to create a musical extravaganza based on their infamous song, “Sanasa”.
The series will feature flashbacks to their “The Simple Life” days, including recreating moments at a Sonic drive-through and returning to Arkansas to visit old friends. While they may have gained experience since their reality TV debut, they remain the same outspoken and determined individuals.
Despite their lack of musical expertise, Paris and Nicole prove their willingness to try anything. They audition singers, dancers, and even a bird for their opera team. The special also captures their personal journeys as they revisit their past and the complexities of their friendship.
“In order to write their magnum opus, they must first revisit their past,” an announcer teases in the trailer. Through this reunion, Paris and Nicole not only reconnect with their roots but also showcase their enduring bond and the ability to embrace new challenges with a touch of their signature sass and glamour.
“Paris & Nicole: The Encore” is produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and executive produced by Hilton, Richie and a team of industry veterans. All three episodes will premiere on Peacock on Thursday, December 12.
