Why Is ‘Live With Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Airing Pre-Recorded Shows? When They’ll Be Back With New Live Episodes

Live with Kelly and Mark‘s very own Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are back gracing our TV screens, but they are not live from the studio.

After over a week of guest hosts helming the ABC morning show alongside Consuelos — including Live‘s announcer Deja Vu, Jane Krakowski, Maria Menounos, and Jenny Mollen — Ripa returned on Tuesday morning’s (Aug. 13) installment, during which she and Consuelos resumed their silly, steamy on-air banter.

Ripa was honored as a Disney Legend on Sunday (Aug. 11), and was officially bestowed the prestigious title at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California. Consuelos mentioned Ripa’s awards ceremony on Friday morning’s (Aug. 9) episode with Mollen, his guest co-host that day.

While Live with Kelly and Mark is still airing in its usual time slot, this week’s episodes are once again previously recorded.

When will Ripa and Consuelos return to the studio for live episodes of Live with Kelly and Mark? Find out what we know.

Why is Live with Kelly and Mark airing previously recorded episodes?

According to a production source, the Live family is on their annual summer vacation. This means that their new episodes, which still feature fresh and fun never-before-seen content, also include previously aired celebrity interviews. So while the episodes are previously recorded, they are not technically reruns.

When will Live with Kelly and Mark return from its summer hiatus?
