Prince Harry is reportedly experiencing a “nightmare” trying to arrange a call with King Charles
Prince Harry is facing a “nightmare” situation as he struggles to schedule a call with King Charles for Father’s Day, claims a royal expert.
The Duke of Sussex moved from England to Montecito, California, four years ago, stepping down from his role as a senior working royal with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Since relocating, Harry has rarely returned to the United Kingdom, with only a handful of visits. This year, he returned in February upon learning of his father’s cancer diagnosis, spending about 30 minutes with him during a brief visit.
He came back again last month for an Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral but could not meet with the King due to conflicting schedules.
Now, with Father’s Day approaching, Prince Harry is reportedly experiencing a “nightmare” trying to arrange a call with King Charles.
Royal author and expert Tom Quinn exclusively told The Mirror: “King Charles’ birthday and Father’s Day are both a nightmare for Harry. He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father. He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message.
“It’s easy to forget that Harry really does love his father, he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute.”
He then claimed that “Harry has tried to schedule a call with his father already, but his father is prevaricating with Camilla advising against anything that might upset King Charles.”
Father’s Day falls on June 16, with the King’s birthday taking place on June 17, and his official birthday – the day he was born – taking place on November 14, when he’ll turn 76.
