Queen sweet upbringing confession about Kate Middleton, Prince William’s children laid bare

The late Queen spoke about her granddaughter Princess Charlotte’s protective nature

The late Queen Elizabeth offered a rare glimpse into the dynamics between Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children.

The Prince and Princess of Wales share three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

In 2018, the Queen spoke about her great-grandchildren when Charlotte was just two and George was four. During an engagement, she mentioned that Charlotte took care of her older brother, George, despite being the younger sibling.

In January 2018, Queen Elizabeth presented a signed Bible to ten-year-old Emily Clay, a school student who won the book for a school religious education project.

During the meeting, the Queen spoke with Clay about her school before asking if she “looked after” her younger sister Hadleigh. Clay’s mother Ellen said: “It’s the other way around.”

To which the Queen replied: “It’s like that with Charlotte and George.”

In May 2023, Charlotte showed affection toward her younger brother by holding his hand as they walked down Westminster Abbey and sat in the front row.

Speaking to GB News earlier this month, royal commentator Charles Rae claimed that Charlotte “puts her brother in his place.”

Rae said: “She’s not only third in line to the throne, but she’s quite a feisty little girl.

On May 2, Charlotte celebrated her ninth birthday with a new, smiling photo of Charlotte taken by Princess Kate.
