Meghan Markle and Husband link to ‘fugitive’ businessman sparks trouble

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle were treated as ‘royals’ during Nigeria trip

Prince Harry and Meghan have found themselves in the midst of another controversy as they reportedly rub shoulders with someone who is a wanted man.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were flown to Nigeria for free in Nigerian airline Air Peace, which is owned by Dr Allen Onyema, for their tour of the African country, reported The Daily Mail.

Stanley Olisa at Air Peace said the Sussexes were given the “complimentary flights” by the CEO, along with “everything they wanted” because “they are royals.”

According to the report, Dr Onyema is a wanted man in the US, facing multiple charges linked to millions of dollars’ worth of alleged fraud set down in a federal indictment filed in November 2019.”

The indictment accuses the Nigerian business tycoon of allegedly “using his status as a prominent business leader and airline executive to launder more than $20million from Nigeria through US bank accounts.”

Meanwhile, there is no suggestion that Prince Harry and Meghan had knowledge of this.

The news comes after Sussexes had returned to the US after conducting a successful visit to court the African country to host a future Invictus Games.

Harry and Meghan had been slammed by royal experts and commentators for embarking on a royal-like tour.

Royal author Tom Quinn also told The Mirror that Prince William is furious over the tour and King Charles is “angrier than ever” over the recent stunt.
