The King makes major announcement after Meghan Markle’s Husband ‘hurtful’ step

King Charles leaves fans in surprise with his major announcement

King Charles leaves fans in surprise with his shocking decision

King Charles III has left fans in surprise with his shocking announcement amid ongoing battle with cancer.

The 75-year-old monarch on Friday finally announced his first overseas trip since revealing his cancer diagnosis. It comes amid claims that Prince Harry’s Nigeria trip “angered” the monarch.

The 75-year-old monarch has decided to travel to France on June 6 with Queen Camilla for the ministry of defense and the Royal British Legion’s commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The King’s big decision has hinted at his future plans as he’s determined to continue his royal duties as usual. The trip will mark the King’s first time heading abroad since revealing his cancer diagnosis on February 5.

The surprising announcement seems to be a reaction to Harry’s hurtful step as the monarch’s visit may help him forget Harry’s defiance.

Royal expert Tom Quinn, in talks with a media outlet, claimed that King Charles was angered by Harry and Meghan’s Nigeria trip and was doing everything in his power to stop it happening again.

The monarch officially returned to public-facing duties on April 30, when he and Queen Camilla visited a cancer hospital in London. The Queen commented the following day that King Charles was “really thrilled to be out.”

Camilla gave a quick update on her husband’s health during a garden party on May 16, telling guests the King was “getting better,” before adding, “Well, he would if he behaved himself.”

The Buckingham palace announced on May 17 that the royal family will make a series of outings related to the D-Day anniversary. On June 5, King Charles and Queen Camilla will be joined by Prince William at the U.K.’s national commemorative event in Portsmouth.

Future King William will also step out on June 6 for two events: the Canadian commemorative ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer, hosted by the Government of Canada, and the international commemorative ceremony at Omaha Beach, Saint Laurent sur Mer, joining over 25 heads of state and veterans from around the world in marking the historic anniversary.
