Prince William looks happy during latest outing after Rose Hanbury’s meeting with Camilla

Prince William makes first appearance since succeeding King Charles as colonel-in-chief of Army Air Corps

Prince William was all smiles and in good spirits as he stepped out for the first time since taking on major role from his cancer-stricken dad King Charles.

The Prince of Wales, who recently took over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, attended an event at the Royal Society in London on Thursday.

The future King’s outing comes just days after Queen Camilla warmly welcomed Rose Hanbury, who recently made headlines for her alleged more than friendly relationship with the Prince, at an event.

William looked in happy mood for the conference, giving a gentleman look in a black suit, white shirt and a patterned blue tie as he joined the conference entitled The World Together Solving the Antibiotic Emergency.

King Charles’ eldest son celebrated the global efforts to tackle antimicrobial resistance and build stronger health systems, food security and climate resilience.

As per medical experts, antimicrobial resistance occurs when the microbes that cause infections develop resistance to treatments like antibiotics making infections almost difficult or impossible to treat.

During the event, Harry’s elder brother William also heard from survivors of antimicrobial resistance and Lord Darzi who gave an update on The Fleming Initiative.

William, the patron of the appeal to create The Fleming Initiative, said: “Unless we act now and together, the ripple effects of drug resistance will be felt across generations, jeopardizing the wellbeing of our children and our grandchildren.”

“I am, however, hopeful. Thanks to the efforts and expertise of a great number of people — including many in this room — we now better understand the scale of the AMR threat,” he continued, touching on new technologies and innovation at play.

After the conference, William hosted a private reception at St. James’ Palace for attendees.
