Netflix revealed first look pictures of upcoming comedy series Running Point
Kate Hudson is set to ace the role as the president of a legendary basketball franchise in Mindy Kalings’s Running Point.
According to Deadline, the first look photos were unveiled on Wednesday, May 15, during the Netflix Upfront presentation in New York City
The upcoming Netflix comedy series follows the story of Isla Gordan, played by Hudson, who is appointed President of the Los Angeles Waves—one of the most storied professional basketball franchises and her family business— following a scandal that forced her brother to resign.
In the series, Isla, driven by ambition and often overlooked, is poised to prove to her sceptical brothers, the board, and the broader sports community that she is the right choice for the business, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.
In addition to Hudson taking the center stage, the 10-episode series cast will include Brenda Song, Chet Hanks, Dane DiLiegro, Drew Tarver, Fabrizio Guido, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Max Greenfield, Roberto Sanchez, Scott MacArthur, Toby Sandeman and Uche Agada.
Kaling co-writes Running Point with fellow Mindy project alums Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, who will also serve as the showrunner.
