Charles Spencer attended Prince Harry’s Invictus Games event in London
Princess Diana’s brother reflected on his attendance at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Charles Spencer posted a photo of his Royal Scots Greys regimental cufflinks, which he donned over his outfit at the event.
“I hope my father would have approved that I wore his Royal Scots Greys regimental cufflinks at the moving celebration of 10 years of @WeAreInvictus at @StPaulsLondon yesterday.”
Harry and Prince William’s maternal uncle was joined by their aunt Lady Jane Fellowes at the service to mark 10 years of the duke’s charity foundation.
The Spare author looked elated to spot his mum’s side of the family in the audience as he arrived at the church.
He also delivered a moving speech at the event in a bid to pay tribute to fellow servicemen and their lifelong dedication to the country.
“Now there are varieties of gifts, with the same spirit and there are varieties of services, with the same lord, and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same god who activates all of them in everyone,” the Prince read.
“To each is given the manifestation of the spirit of the common good.
“To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit.
“To another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,” the Spare author concluded.
