The King brings waves of happiness ahead of Coronation anniversary, Meghan Markle’s Husband visit

Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK for a significant celebration next week

Staff working for the King will see a boost to their salaries

King Charles is bringing happiness in anticipation of his Coronation anniversary and Prince Harry’s visit.

One year following the coronation, Royal staff have received a salary increase from King Charles. Those earning under £35,000 will receive a 6% raise, while those earning above this threshold will see a 5.5% increase.

The Royal household relies on a substantial team for various tasks, including palace maintenance, advising, and assistance with dressing for important events. According to an insider, the pay adjustments have significantly boosted morale among staff.

Recent job postings include an event security coordinator position for the King, offering a £30,000 annual salary, and a telephone operator role for £26,000. Additionally, Buckingham Palace has advertised a vacancy for a £50,000-per-year expert specializing in tracking and reducing carbon emissions.

“It’s easy to forget how hard people work behind the scenes at the Palace but the King’s not done so,” an insider told The Sun. “He and Camilla have had a lot to be worried about with his cancer diagnosis but clearly he’s thinking about others too. This is a real morale boost for staff.”

News of the pay rise comes a year on from the May 6 coronation when he was officially crowned King in a Westminster Abbey ceremony watched from across the planet. Since then, the 75-year-old has received the devastating news he has cancer following surgery at a private clinic in London in February.

His health scare chimed with Princess of Wales Kate’s own cancer news, as she revealed in March she was also being treated for the disease.

The King returned to public duties last week, with his first engagement since the news a visit to the Macmillan Cancer Centre in London where he met patients who were also battling the disease. It’s understood he and Queen Camilla will mark the first anniversary privately on Monday.

Meanwhile,  Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK for a significant celebration next week.

This visit marks Harry’s return to commemorate 10 years of the Invictus Games, and it will be his first time back in the UK since Kate emotionally announced in a video message to the nation that she had been diagnosed with cancer and started preventive chemotherapy.
