Jack Antonoff praises Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey on Zane Lowe show
Jack Antonoff has recently dished his working experience with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.
Speaking on Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 on Thursday, the Bleachers musician revealed, “Every time we do something new, I joke, ‘I guess we still got it,’ because there’s no reason for it to keep coming the way it does.”
Gushing over Taylor and Lana, Jack stated, “There’s a lot of magic there. I feel that way with Taylor, I feel that way with Lana, I feel that with my band.”
“There’s people I’ve had these long relationships with, where I’m just like, the opposite of expecting it. It’s almost like, the more we do, the less I expect it,” continued the Rollercoaster crooner.
Jack mentioned, “I often think to myself, well, how much longer could we really keep having this spark? And I’m just grateful that it’s there, and I don’t know where it comes from or where it goes.”
However, Jack pointed out, “The one thing that I’ve noticed is that anyone who claims to know where it comes from and where it goes burns out pretty quick.”
“Music is a feeling,” remarked the musician
Jack explained, “Everyone I’m making records with were pretty insular, and people of all different sizes, not just people of the privilege to be so, but I really just tend to work with people who just have a gut feeling about something and just want to find it.”
“That’s all making an album is,” added the music artist.
For the unversed, the songwriter/producer worked with Taylor since 2014’s acclaimed 1989 and Lana after her 2019 magnum opus Norman Rockwell!
