Gary Goldsmith says he and Kate Middleton’s mother were multi-millionaire’s by 30

Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, has voiced his disdain for the label of “common” when referring to his niece, the Duchess of Cambridge.

In a recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother, the businessman discussed his family background with TV presenter Fern Britton.

During their conversation, Gary disclosed that both he and his sister Carole, Kate’s mother, achieved multi-millionaire status by the age of 30.

Despite their humble beginnings, he affirmed their financial success, attributing it to various income sources.

He expressed his discomfort with the characterization of his niece as a “commoner,” emphasizing the uniqueness of their family.

Fern Britton remarked on the financial struggles faced by many affluent individuals, to which Gary noted the existence of wealthy individuals with lavish lifestyles but limited resources.

Carole founded Party Pieces in 1987, a business specializing in party supplies and decorations sold via mail order.

Her husband Michael left his job at British Airways two years later to support her venture.

However, Party Pieces faced financial challenges and was eventually sold in 2023 after going into administration.
