Taylor Swift teases ‘Reputation’ rerecord in surprising preview

Taylor Swift is also set to release 11th studio album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ on April 19th, 2024

Taylor Swift has been dropping subtle hints over her forthcoming Reputation (Taylor’s Version) era since late last year.

However, the new preview of the rerecord came from a surprising source, which is the new Apple TV+ docuseries The Dynasty: New England Patriots, via People Magazine.

In a clip, the song Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version) is heard playing in the background when former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola discusses quarterback Tom Brady’s comeback following the Deflategate controversy.

The controversy refers to the accusations made by Indianapolis Colts saying that Patriots were using underinflated footballs during the 2015 AFC championship game.

“The king is back. Here he goes. Watch him get pissed off and go,” Amendola, 38, says in the docuseries the rerecorded song plays in the background.

The preview of the song was previously heard last summer in the teaser for Amazon Original Wilderness.

Swift had been on a mission to rerelease her previous records until her 2014 in an effort to own her music after her former recording company sold the catalogue to Scooter Braun.

Swift has already released newly recorded versions of her albums 1989, Red, Speak Now and Fearless. Reputation is the final album left for the rerecord.

While it’s uncertain when the actual record will drop, the Grammy-winning musician is set to release her 11th original studio album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19th, 2024
