Euphoria was renewed by HBO after successful second season in February 2022
Sam Levinson is borrowing from the real world experiences to deliver an exceptional Season 3 of Euphoria.
Actor Colman Domingo opened up about the delays in the production of the teen drama series, starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and others, in a new interview with GQ.
He said, “[Sam is] a person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he’s wrestling with what’s important.”
“He’s responding immediately to what the ills of the world are,” the 54-year-old actor continued. “I know that the one thing I can tell you is that he’s very much interested in the existential question of who we are right now.
“Our souls. That’s what he wants to figure out with season three,” Domingo added.
Domingo is expected to reprise his role as Ali, a recovering addict who helps Zendaya’s character Rue through her sobriety journey in the series.
The last episode of Euphoria Season 2 was aired in February 2022, after which Hollywood was marred by joint strike of writers and actors for most of 2023.
Last year, Levinson teased in an interview with Elle, that Season 3 was a “film noir” and said Rue would “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
