Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently enjoyed a trip to Canada with Invictus Games competitors
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to put on a united front during their brief stint in Canada for the upcoming Invictus Games a few weeks ago.
However, body language expert Judi James explained that the reality was far from the truth as they were secretly engaged in a competition to grab attention at the event
Analysing a clip from new documentary based on the trip titled, Prince Harry’s Mission: Life, Family, and the Invictus Games, she told the Mirror: “Harry might claim that ‘these guys’ i.e. the athletes, are the stars of the show but it is clearly all about Harry’s ‘Mission’ and his reactions and feelings plus some footage of him actually in action on the skeleton run.”
Whereas, the Duchess of Sussex struggled to be seen more than the duke’s “plus one” as she mimicked his gestures to “define her as very much a part of him in the communication.”
Judi pointed out the moment Harry returned from his skeleton ride, adrenaline rushing through his body and exhilaration seeping through his skin, prompting him to subconsciously decline Meghan’s hug, who gets in “support and congratulatory mode”.
The expert explained: “[Harry is] laughing, giggling with excitement, running his hands through his hair and being chatty he is busy high-fiving other people and discussing his achievement.”
The mom of two looked “so keen to join in and to enjoy the exhilaration with Harry,” however, according to Judi, as the royal continued to talk, Meghan was “left with a truncated hug plus two other conversion gestures of slight awkwardness as she waits”.
The body language expert noted: “She touches her face then raises her hand in a polite signal of a wish to speak. She then touches her knitted hat and in the end taps Harry to get his attention, smiling and covering her mouth in a collusive giggly grin before saying ‘Well done’.”
