Meghan Markle And Husband hit back at ‘make or break’ claims – ‘We will not be broken’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in the middle of a three-day trip to Vancouver in Canada where they are promoting the Invictus Games but have been warned to ‘behave’ after taking the first steps to reconcile with the Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sensationally hit back at claims that their Invictus Games trip is make or break if they want to salvage a relationship with the Royal Family.

Writing in The Telegraph, Royal Editor Hanna Furness claimed that the couple “have three days to prove they can behave” as they perform a series of public appearances in Vancouver to promote the 2025 Games. Last week Harry rushed to his father King Charles’ side after hearing about his cancer diagnosis

After the 30-minute reunion, it seems Harry has made the first tentative step in reforging his relationship with the Royal Family. But Furness claims that if Harry and Meghan want to remain friendly with King Charles and possibly reconnect with Prince William and Princess Kate, they will need to “keep schtum” in Canada.

Now a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has told The Mirror: “We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple. They’re still here. They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticised. This couple will not be broken.”

Harry and Meghan were seen brushing off the criticism on Thursday as they headed to the skeleton bobsledding track in Whistler, Canada.

The Duke of Sussex whizzed down the course head-first on his stomach, as a proud Meghan snapped photographs and cheered him on with the crowd. She however joked that there was “no way” she’d be trying out the course herself.

The couple’s visit to Canada comes after they sparked a new royal row by launching a new website this week without consulting the Royal Family. The slick new site quietly went live this week and is called Sussex.com. Despite quitting as working royals more than four years ago, Harry and Meghan raised eyebrows by prominently using their royal titles and featuring a royal crest.

A source close to the couple hit back at criticism for the new website, and said: “Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name.”

The major rebrand sees them link to their former ‘Sussex Royal’ website which they were banned from using by the late Queen. Under the terms of an agreement struck with Buckingham Palace, Harry and Meghan can use their Duke and Duchess titles but cannot use HRH in their commercial endeavours

It is thought the Duke and Duchess will use the site to share their personal and official updates, keeping people informed through the “News” section. The website’s “About” page reads: “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is shaping the future through business and philanthropy. This includes: The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organisations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.”

Harry and Meghan left the royal family to seek “financial freedom” and quickly set about signing commercial deals with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify for an estimated £100million.
